About
I’m Sarah Power – a Dublin-based composer, producer and pianist working across film, television and self-released projects. My work blends acoustic instrumentation, electronica and sound design; balancing emotional storytelling with modern cinematic production.
I work across scripted drama, documentary and independent film in both collaborative and lead composer roles. Credits include This Town, written by Steven Knight and produced by Kudos, Dear England for the BBC, and These Sacred Vows, written and directed by John Butler for RTÉ. My work has featured internationally across networks including BBC One, ESPN, M6, NDR and The New Yorker.
After more than a decade working behind the scenes as a session musician – including collaborations with Stephanie Rainey – I released my self-produced debut EP, In The Shadows, in 2025. Blending felted piano, strings and ambient textures, the record reflects my transition from supporting other artists to stepping forward with my own voice. The EP was featured as Track of the Week by Hot Press Magazine, received airplay on BBC Radio Ulster and BBC Radio 3, and was launched with two sold-out performances at The Dot Theatre.
As an emerging writer-director. My debut short screenplay, The Long Table, was runner-up for Best Screenplay at the Waterford International Film Festival in 2025.
Have a story to tell? I’d love to hear about it.
